The Nurse Extern position at Terrebonne General Health System provides nursing students with a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of practical nursing care. Qualifications

• In the absence of a temporary license due to attendance of an out‑of‑state nursing program while waiting to fulfill criteria for taking the Louisiana State Board Examination, a person may be placed in this position as long as the exam is completed within 90 days from the first day of employment.
• Must commit to a minimum of 2 shifts per schedule to maintain active status.
