Job summary

Froedtert Health in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Nurse Extern to assist with nursing care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse in our on-site hospital setting. You will help assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for an identified patient group.

Enrollment in an accredited School of Nursing or recent graduation ready for NCLEX is required, with basic nursing coursework, medication administration exposure, and strong communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing or a graduate prepared to take the NCLEX.
• Experience with medication administration and nursing care planning is preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care under RN supervision.
• Support patient care in assigned area and follow through with care plans.
• Perform basic nursing tasks and document care accurately.
