Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Extern II at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Wisconsin. The position is part-time with 8 hours per week, starting with a full orientation week and progressing to one 8-hour day-shift weekly.

During the externship you will work under RN supervision on Med/Surg units, supporting daily care, vital signs, and patient assessment while preparing for a transition into RN duties in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
• Completion of a Medical Surgical course including pharmacology concepts.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsabilités

• Under RN supervision, perform ADLs, vital signs, and glucose monitoring.
• Collaborate on plans of care with patient/family input.
• Assist with medication administration as delegated by RN.
• Demonstrate time management and patient data collection skills.
