Job summary

Angel Medical Center in Franklin, NC seeks a Nurse Extern (PRN) to join the nursing team and gain hands-on experience in the Registered Nurse role. You will assist with essential patient care, monitor vital signs, and support recovery alongside a dedicated team.

You are enrolled in an accredited nursing program and will obtain Basic Life Support within 30 days of starting. CNA credentials and a commitment to infection prevention are required as you progress.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential.
• Enrolled in accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential patient care, assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, support mobility, and ensure comfort and hygiene.
• Perform nursing tasks such as wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection as you gain experience.
• Document care accurately and communicate timely updates to the nursing team.
