Job summary

Infor in Marshall, MI seeks a Nurse Extern to support direct patient care under RN/Physician supervision. You will document patient care, track progress, and assist with daily living activities during the 0700-1930 and 1900-0730 shift blocks, including weekends.

Responsibilities include hourly rounds, communication with patients and families, call-light response, and bedside tasks after competency. Expect exposure to wound care, NG placement, dressing changes, and lab specimen transport.

Qualifications

• Completion of Nursing Fundamentals semester in an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification from ARC or AHA is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN/Physician supervision.
• Complete documentation of patient care and progress.
• Perform hourly rounds and assist with activities of daily living.
• Communicate with patients and families; liaison to licensed staff.
• Assist with call lights and essential needs.
• Assist with nursing tasks after competency with supervisor oversight.
• Support wound care, dressing changes, NG placement, and specimen transport.
