Job summary

Infor in Marshall, MI is seeking a Nurse Extern to support nursing staff during weekend shifts. You will provide direct care, document patient progress, and assist with daily living activities under supervision.

Responsibilities include head-to-toe assessments, ADL support, timely rounds, and responding to call lights. Completion of Nursing Fundamentals and BLS are required; nurse aide certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of Nursing Fundamentals semester in an accredited nursing program.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision and document care and patient responses.
• Complete hourly rounds and assist with activities of daily living.
• Communicate with patients and families; act as liaison with licensed staff.
• Perform head-to-toe assessment and data collection for admissions.
• Assist with urinary catheter care, bladder scanning, and wound dressing changes.
• Support with NG placement and specimen collection as directed.
• Participate in CPR rotations and ensure infection prevention standards.
