Qualifications

• 1+ years of nursing school completed (preferred).
• Nurse Extern works under RN supervision and performs basic patient care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential patient care by assisting with ADLs, taking vital signs, aiding mobility, and ensuring comfort and hygiene.
• Perform basic nursing tasks such as wound care, catheter care, specimen collection, and other delegated duties as competency grows.
• Document care accurately and communicate updates with the nursing team to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Explain care plans to patients and families and offer guidance for health and recovery.
• Maintain clean and safe patient areas by following infection prevention practices and managing equipment.
• Engage in learning opportunities and collaborate with supervisor to build a personal career development plan.
