HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is seeking a Nurse Extern PRN to join its nursing team and gain hands-on experience in the Registered Nurse role. You will deliver safe, compassionate care while developing skills during your nursing program.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor's).
• Ideally at least 6 months remaining before graduation.
• Completion of Fundamentals or Foundations of Nursing course.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, and support mobility.
• Perform basic nursing tasks as skills grow (wound care, catheter care).
• Document care accurately and communicate updates with the nursing team.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and recovery.
• Maintain infection prevention practices and safe environment.
• Engage in learning opportunities and develop a personal career plan.
