Job summary

National Beef of Liberal, Kansas, is seeking an Industrial Nurse to join our on-site health team. The role focuses on first aid, emergency care, and health service documentation, supporting a safe, team-oriented work environment.

Qualified candidates will hold an LPN or RN license in Kansas; a BSN is preferred but not required. Experience in occupational health or emergency nursing is helpful. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Licensed as LPN or RN in Kansas.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred but not required.
• Experience in occupational health or emergency nursing preferred.
• Knowledge of workers’ compensation and OSHA regulations helpful but not required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Provides first aid and medical treatment for on-the-job injuries and illnesses.
• Conducts pre-employment physicals and drug screens where applicable.
• Maintains employee health records and prepares accident reports.
• Communicates safety concerns to management.
• Assists the company medical provider during weekly clinic hours.
• Maintains and safeguards confidentiality of health information and records.
• Performs workplace health assessments and health promotion activities.

Responsibilities

Industrial Nurse responsibilities include but are not limited to
This position is responsible for providing first aid and emergency care for occupational injuries and illness, drug screens and record-keeping and documentation of visits to health services.

Essential Functions

• Provides first aid and medical treatment as needed and provides initial assessment of on the job injuries and illnesses and refers for further evaluation as necessary
• Conducts pre-employment physicals including fitness for duty examinations, workers compensation checks and drug screens
• Maintains employee health records and prepares accident reports
• Communicate safety concerns to appropriate managers
• Assist company medical provider during weekly clinic hours
• Maintains first-aid kits, and orders medical supplies as needed
• Maintains and safeguards confidentiality of employee health information and health records
• Conducts workplace assessments with regard to health issues and exposure follow-up
• Assists with implementation of health promotion strategies including group and individual health education activities
• Other duties as assigned

This is an on-site position. This is a safety sensitive position.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates for the Industrial Nurse position should possess the following

• Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Registered Nurse (LPN or RN) in the state of Kansas
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred but not required
• Experience in occupational health or emergency nursing preferred
• Knowledge of case management, workers’ compensation and OSHA regulations helpful but not required
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills and ability to deal effectively with a variety of people and situations
• Ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity
• Ability to work with limited supervision and high motivation
• Ability to work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines
• Strong computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel and HRIS system)
• Bilingual English/Spanish beneficial but not required
• Available to work a flexible schedule
