Westside Family Healthcare is seeking an Employee Health & Infection Prevention RN to lead staff health activities and guide infection prevention programs across our five Delaware centers. The role emphasizes coordination with clinical leadership, immunization management, outbreak response, and safe exposure handling.

The ideal candidate has a BSN, 3 years of ambulatory RN experience, Delaware RN licensure, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Three years’ RN experience in ambulatory care or equivalent.
• Active RN licensure in Delaware with no restrictions.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week and be available for after-hours infectious disease exposure calls.

Responsabilités

• Direct Employee Health activities for all staff in coordination with clinical leadership.
• Monitor, trend and report infection prevention activities and data.
• Coordinate prevention and surveillance for employees at risk for infectious diseases; manage exclusions and safe return to work plans.

The Employee Health and Infection Prevention RN, in coordination with clinical leadership, directs Westside Family Healthcare’s Employee Health activities for all Westside staff members, assuring that each team member meets health requirements, and facilitates team activities such as influenza vaccine campaigns. The Employee Health and Infection Prevention RN monitors, facilitates, trends and reports infection prevention activities for the organization. In addition, the Employee Health and Infection Prevention RN is responsible for working with individuals exposed to, at risk for, or infected with infectious diseases (including COVID-19), to provide a safe work environment.

Employee Health Responsibilities

1. Collaborates with the HR team during the onboarding process to review Employee Health information, as well as performs ongoing monitoring of Employee Health records. This includes, but is not limited to, managing immunization records, tuberculosis testing, and FIT testing for N95 masks
2. Develops and communicates workplace exclusion criteria for various conditions, including COVID-19, and counsels staff on these policies as needed
3. Supports employee influenza and COVID vaccination campaigns
4. Serves as point of contact for sharps or other workplace injuries and exposures
5. Facilitates and champions other Employee Wellness initiatives as needed
6. Serves as point of contact for team members experiencing infectious disease symptoms or exposures, including COVID, and develops a plan for their safe return to work
7. Coordinates prevention and surveillance activities for employees who are at risk for infectious diseases, such as those that have special accommodations due to medical or religious vaccine exemptions

Infection Prevention Responsibilities

1. Monitors infection prevention activities such as hand hygiene, annual and ad hoc PPE training, and sterilization processes
2. Maintains the infection prevention dashboard, including monitoring, tracking and trending sharps injuries and exposures
3. Manages and updates infection prevention policies as needed
4. Manages FDA recalls as they pertain to clinical equipment and supplies
5. Manages and updates training materials relevant to infection prevention and control

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing program
2. Three years’ experience as an RN in ambulatory care or comparable experience
3. Active RN licensure in the State of Delaware with no restrictions
4. Current BLS certification
5. Ability and availability to work 40 hours per week and to receive calls regarding infectious disease exposures or symptoms outside of typical work hours. May include shifts starting at 6:00AM

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Prior employee health or wellness experience
2. Prior Infection prevention experience
