Qualifications

• Three years of professional nursing experience; and a bachelor's degree in nursing, nursing education, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university; or one year of professional nursing experience and a master's degree in nursing, nursing education, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
• Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania is required.
• Employees with an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as an RN within one year per Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.

Responsibilities

• Staff Orientation: Create and deliver orientation programs, evaluate employee progress, and develop lesson plans on health related topics.
• Training Coordination: Organize educational resources, schedule training sessions, and ensure staff receive required in-service hours.
• Nursing Instruction: Teach nursing procedures, demonstrate new equipment, and provide guidance on nursing practice.
• Record Management: Maintain systems for storing training records, audits, and documentation related to educational activities.
• Care Evaluation: Observe resident conditions, report changes, and document daily care information in approved records.
