Job summary
Delmar Gardens of Overland Park seeks a registered nurse to serve as Nurse Educator/Staff Development, overseeing education, in-services, and training across departments in our skilled nursing facility.
Candidates must hold Kansas RN license, have at least 2 years RN experience and at least 1 year in long-term care; teaching experience, CPR Instructor cert, CNA instructor approval, and CDC Infection Control Certification are a plus.
Qualifications
- Must hold Kansas RN license with active standing.
- Minimum 2 years RN experience.
- Minimum 1 year in long-term care.
- Teaching experience preferred.
- CPR Instructor certification a plus; CNA instructor approval preferred.
- CDC Infection Control Preventionist Certification a plus.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and conduct education, in-services, and training for nursing and all departments.
- Develop and implement staff development curricula and competency assessments.
- Partner with leadership to identify educational needs and measure outcomes.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to nursing and support staff.
