Job summary

The Miami VA Healthcare System's Nursing Service is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse-Educator Spinal Cord to contribute to quality care standards and the growth of a VA academic hospital program.

The Clinical Nurse Educator will provide evidence-based education to staff, design and implement training, and support nurse residency with simulation-based curricula within clinical and outpatient units.

Qualifications

• The Clinical Nurse Educator Spinal Cord provides evidence-based education to staff.
• Involves educational instruction and training for nursing staff in clinical and outpatient units.

Responsibilities

• Serves as trainer for the Redi program including BLS instructor certification.
• Performs learning needs assessments and develops trainings; tracks BLS/ALS compliance.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support emergency responses and mock codes.
• Supports nurse residency programs with curriculum development using simulation, lectures, case studies.
• Develops coaching and mentoring skills; evaluates current practice and outcomes.
• Assists orientation and learning plan development for new employees; contributes to education evaluations.
