The Nurse Educator will guide aspiring nurse aides through classroom instruction, skills development, and supervised clinical experiences. You will help prepare students to provide compassionate, high-quality care while building the next generation of caregivers.
Lead classroom, skills laboratory, and clinical instruction using the Virginia Board of Nursing-approved nurse aide curriculum
Educate, mentor, supervise, and evaluate nurse aide students throughout the program
Develop and maintain lesson plans, attendance records, student evaluations, skills documentation, and other required program records
Create an engaging, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
Ensure students demonstrate competency before performing skills in the clinical setting
Maintain compliance with Virginia Board of Nursing requirements and applicable state and federal regulations
Collaborate with center leadership and nursing teams to connect classroom learning with high-quality, person-centered care
Serve as a professional role model and help students successfully transition into healthcare careers
