Job summary

Advocate Health Mercy in Charlotte, NC seeks a Nurse Educator for Preop, PACU, and Same Day Procedure areas. You will lead facility-wide orientation, develop education programs, and coordinate clinical preceptorships for nursing staff.

BSN is required with 3+ years of perioperative clinical experience. BLS certification is required. This role offers 4-10s M-F and a 40-hour work week with 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Current BSN required with RN licensure in state of North Carolina.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in related perioperative areas (OR, ER, acute care).
• BLS certification required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with nursing leadership to assess orientation and continuing education needs for nursing team.
• Develops and conducts facility-specific orientation for licensed and non-licensed staff.
• Facilitates 30-day new employee orientation and 90-day reunions as part of service excellence initiatives.
• Designs programs that enhance nursing practice and ensure licensure and certification compliance.
• Coordinates with Nurse Managers to place students and organize preceptorships for learners.
• Applies adult education principles to plan, design, and implement educational activities.
