Job summary

Catholic Health in New York is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to support patient care with compassion and advocacy. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Serve as consultant/resource to nursing staff interpreting policy and evidence-based practices.
• Provide clinical oversight and support for new hires and transition of newly licensed graduates into practice.
• Meet regularly with orientees and preceptors to monitor progress.
• Collaborate with Director of Nursing Education regarding competency of new hires.
• Provide teaching instructions to staff and assess competency.
• Participate in planning and analysis of educational programs based on standards to meet staff needs.
• Collaborate with health care team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Job Details

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the below:

• Serves as a consultant/resource to nursing staff in interpreting policy/procedure standards and evidence-based practices of nursing care.
• Clinical oversight and safe development of the new hires and assist with the transition of the newly licensed graduates into nursing practice.
• Meets regularly with orientees and preceptors.
• Confers with Director of Nursing Education regarding the competency of new hires.
• Provides teaching instructions to staff members while assessing and evaluating staff competency.
• Participates in the planning and analysis of educational programs based on evidence- based standards and guidelines to meet the needs of nursing staff members.
• Collaborates with the health care team to provide safe and high quality patient care

Requirments:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN). Masters in Nursing preferred (APRN- Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Educator).
• NYS RN License required.
• Excellent communication skills- verbal and written.
• Ability to relate effectively to patients, families, and staff.
• Demonstrates and promotes service excellence at all times.
• Current ACLS and BLS required.

Salary Range

USD $65.00 - USD $65.00 /Hr.

The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
