Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus seeks a Nursing Professional Development Practitioner to lead onboarding, education and professional growth across the interprofessional healthcare team.

You will design, deliver onboarding content, assess learning needs, foster a supportive learning environment, and partner with interdisciplinary teams to strengthen clinical competence and patient care outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing AND masters in related field (i.e. MHA, Nursing Education, etc.).
• Two years of nursing experience is required.
• Current Ohio RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding/orientation, competency management, education, professional role development.
• Collaborative partnerships, research, evidenced based practice and quality improvement.
• Delivering orientation and onboarding content, assessing learning needs, fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Support Buckeye Nurse Residency Program through seminar facilitation and educational initiatives.
