Job summary

Arbors at Fairlawn is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator Registered Nurse (SDCRN) to design, implement, and coordinate the center's Staff Development Program. The role includes clinical tasks, training delivery, and collaboration with leadership to ensure quality resident care.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, BSN preferred, with 3+ years nursing experience including long-term care; CPR certification is desirable.

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with industry software.

Responsibilities

• Ensures employees receive compliance training and education per Code of Conduct.
• Maintains documentation for training per state, federal and compliance requirements.
• Monitors employee performance and addresses compliance issues.
• Develops and conducts orientation for new, rehired and contract staff.
• Manages Employee Health program.
• Provides hands-on clinical orientation and instruction to licensed and unlicensed personnel.
• Coordinates new employee training and CPR training.
• Assesses resident needs to tailor training programs for staff.
• Works with the DNS to ensure clinical competency and annual assessments for licensed staff and CNAs.
• Assists in department budgeting and cost containment.
• Oversees OSHA/Risk Management documentation and program delivery.
• Ensures curriculum meets accreditation and regulatory requirements.
• Plans in-service programs required by state and federal standards.
• Conducts CNAs certification/training programs.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
