Job summary

Regions Hospital is seeking a Nurse Education Specialist to join its Med/Surg Inpatient Nursing teams. The NES will coordinate orientation for nursing staff, deliver targeted education, and lead ongoing staff development while supporting policy and competency initiatives.

In this role, you will work with Nursing Practice and Value Analysis teams to evaluate new products and technology, participate in policy development, and drive evidence-based practice within HealthPartners’ Shared Governance

Qualifications

Master’s degree in nursing, health sciences or education (completed or enrolled).
Active RN licensure in MN or WI at time of hire. After hire, RN must obtain licensure in the other state within 3 months of hire.
Current CPR certification (American Heart BLS for Healthcare Providers).
Minimum of 3 years (6,240 hours) experience in area of clinical specialty.
Experience in leadership roles, research utilization, staff development, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Experience as a preceptor/Charge RN and continuing clinical education.

Responsibilities

Coordinate orientation of nursing team members, preceptors and charge RNs; deliver training and education specific to population-based staff throughout a variety of educational opportunities; facilitate on-going staff development; support policy, procedure, order set, work standard and competency development.
Coordinate the evaluation of new products, equipment, and/or technology in partnership with Nursing Practice team and Value Analysis Team.
Participate in departmental policy and procedure development, implementation, and interpretation for members of the healthcare team.
Assist in establishing standards or criteria based on the mission, values and philosophy of HealthPartners through Shared Governance Model, focusing on evidence-based nursing practice.
