Job summary

Regions Hospital in Minnesota seeks a Nurse Education Specialist to lead orientation and education for Med/Surg Nursing. This role coordinates preceptors and charge RNs, delivers targeted training, and supports policy and competency development alongside the Nursing Practice team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing, health sciences or education (completed or enrolled).
• Active RN licensure in MN or WI at time of hire; must obtain licensure in the other state within 3 months of hire.
• Current CPR certification (American Heart BLS for Healthcare Providers).
• Minimum of 3 years (6,240 hours) experience in area of clinical specialty.
• Experience in leadership roles, research utilization, staff development, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Experience as a preceptor/Charge RN and continuing clinical education.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate orientation of nursing team members, preceptors and charge RNs; deliver training and education.
• Facilitate ongoing staff development and competency development; support policy/process development.
• Coordinate evaluation of new products/equipment in partnership with Nursing Practice and Value Analysis teams.
• Participate in departmental policy development, implementation and interpretation for healthcare team members.
• Provide leadership as part of the Nursing Department and HealthPartners Nursing Leadership.
