Job summary

Washington County Community College is seeking a full-time Nurse Administrator to oversee the 18-month Nursing program, based in Calais, ME. The role requires a Maine RN license and a Master’s degree in Nursing, with 3–5 years of patient care experience and teaching credentials preferred.

The position includes leading program administration, strategic planning, and ensuring accreditation compliance, along with managing faculty development, workload, and collaboration with the Board and community

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing and Maine RN license required.
• 3–5 years of recent patient care experience; teaching experience preferred.
• Professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative work style essential.
• Must meet clinical facility immunization requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee NEP administration, planning, development, implementation and evaluation.
• Lead and manage Nursing Education Program to meet regulatory standards.
• Coordinate faculty workload and ensure alignment with accreditation.
• Recruit, develop, and evaluate nursing faculty; participate in statewide initiatives.
• Maintain liaison with Board; ensure resources and budget compliance.
