The ideal candidate holds a BSN with 3+ years of nursing experience and demonstrates instructional certification such as BLS/NRP/PALS/ACLS, with OCN planned within two years of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• 3 years of professional nursing experience.
• BSN required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the specific clinical area.
• OCN Certification required within 2 years of hire.
• Supervisory experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director and Assistant Director as needed.
• Oversees orientation process.
• Evaluates orientation program.
• Coordinates successful orientation program from in-processing to assimilation.
• Communicates regularly with orientees and preceptors.
• Ensures timely progression of orientation process and evaluations.
• Maintains required documents in education files.
• Promotes accountability for timely completion of mandatory education.
• Prepares staff for DNV and other accreditation visits.
• Plans and organizes annual competency initiatives and events.
