Job summary

Qualifications

• BSN required; Master’s degree preferred in nursing education or related field.
• New York State RN license and BLS/ACLS required.
• CCRN certification recommended; 3–5 years of critical care nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads patient experience initiatives using the Professional Practice Model and Relationship Centered Care.
• Oversees budget development, capital equipment allocation, and educational records.
• Manages education, staff development, competency assessments, and performance improvement plans.
• Ensures age-specific care competencies and evidence-based nursing practices.
• Participates in recruitment, retention, governance, and interdepartmental collaboration.
• Supports mission, vision, and department objectives; mentors and coaches staff.
