Job summary

Mount Sinai is seeking a Nurse Education Manager to lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of clinical and educational activities across the patient care team in New York.

You will oversee orientation, staff development, competency assessments, and budget considerations, integrating evidence-based practices with the hospital's professional practice model and care delivery standards to enhance patient outcomes and staff engagement.

Responsibilities

• Leads nursing practice using the Professional Practice Model and the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing to promote patient experience.
• Oversees the development and implementation of the budget, including capital equipment allocation, aligned with Mount Sinai Health System financial goals.
• Maintains, reviews, and evaluates educational record keeping and reporting systems and modifies as necessary.
• Conducts and participates in meetings related to the area of assignment and engages in research activities related to education and clinical practice.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care, ensuring competency assessments for staff.
