Job summary

Northside Hospital in Georgia is seeking a nurse leader to serve as a unit-based clinical resource and educator. You will guide staff development, orientation, onboarding, competency, patient education, and quality improvement initiatives, modeling clinical excellence in nursing practice.

Responsibilities include supporting standards of care, leading training programs, and advancing clinical education for staff and patients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required for roles in nursing leadership.
• Licensed RN in Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Minimum two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum two years of clinical experience in the relevant specialty.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS or other life support credentials preferred.

• Oversee staff development, orientation, onboarding, and competency evaluation.
• Provide patient and staff education and drive quality improvement activities.
• Model clinical excellence and ensure adherence to standards of care.

Responsibilities

Functions in a leadership role as a unit-based clinical resource and educator. Responsible for staff development, orientation and onboarding, competency, patient education, and quality improvement. Supports established standards of care and practice through training, staff development, clinical improvement activities, and patient/staff education. Serves as a role model of clinical excellence in nursing knowledge and clinical practice.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school of nursing or related field
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Two (2) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in the clinical specialty.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED

• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
