Job summary

UTMB Health is seeking a Nurse Clinician II (RN) for Labor & Delivery in Angleton, with night shifts. Requires Texas RN license, current BLS, and at least six months of RN experience or completion of probationary NC I period documented on nursing evaluation. Provides patient care per nursing standards and UTMB policies.

Responsibilities include nursing assessment, care planning, med administration, patient/family teaching, and effective care coordination within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• RN with six months of clinical RN experience and/or successful completion of probationary NC I period documented on nursing evaluation tool.
• Must possess and maintain a current Registered Nurse license or valid permit to practice in Texas.
• Current BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document daily care of assigned patients.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Provide patient/family instruction using Teach-Back when appropriate.
• Coordinate patient care activities and ensure safety and continuity of care.
