Qualifications

• RN with bachelor’s in nursing and four years of clinical RN experience.
• Approved specialty certification.
• Current RN license or valid temporary permit to practice in Texas.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents the daily care of assigned patients.
• Identifies nursing diagnoses/patient care needs and revises the care plan as needed.
• Executes physician orders and administers medications with compassionate care.
• Performs routine technical procedures/skills in the specialty area.
• Provides patient/family instruction and health promotion using Teach-Back when appropriate.
• Plans, coordinates, and prioritizes patient care activities with the inter-professional team.
• Demonstrates leadership and supports unit goals and evidence-based practices.
