Job summary

The role emphasizes patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, family teaching, and collaboration with an inter-professional team to ensure safe, effective care and positive outcomes for the newborns and families

Qualifications

• RN with six months of clinical RN experience or completion of probationary NC I period.
• Must possess and maintain a current RN license or valid permit to practice in Texas.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document daily patient care.
• Develop individualized care plans and revise plans as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Provide patient/family education using Teach-Back techniques.
• Coordinate care and ensure safe handoffs and continuity.
• Collaborate with inter-professional team to meet goals.
• Document accurately in electronic medical records and reports.
• Demonstrate leadership and participate in unit quality improvement.
