Work hours will be on a rotating schedule of days. Currently available shift:
SRSTC opened in 2001 and provides care and treatment for several different patient populations. The center houses Wisconsin’s Sexually Violent Persons Program, provides care and treatment for persons found not guilty by reasons of mental disease or mental defect, and provides court ordered treatment, testing, and education to patients found not competent to stand trial. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Using the nursing process to implement nursing interventions in basic and complex patient situations in both a clinic environment and specialty care unit.
Completing daily nursing assessments.
Activating medically approved protocols.
Responding to medical and/or psychiatric emergencies.
Administering medications.
Working closely with physicians in the provision of medical and psychiatric care.
Planning and implementing medication teaching, promoting health, and preparing patients for medical procedures.
Starting salary is between $43.72 and $50.61/hour (approximately $90,900 and $105,200 annually), based on years of licensure. Additional increases are based on years of licensure in the chart below.

$3.90 /hour differential for permanent 2 nd or 3 rd shift RNs for work hours between 6pm to 6am.
A 12-month probationary period is required.
Pay for current or former state employees will be set based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. This position is classified as a Nursing Clinician 2 and is in pay schedule and range 11/02.
All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by SRSTC or medical personnel approved by the facility after their start date.
