Job summary

Atlantic Health seeks an experienced clinical operations supervisor to optimize patient throughput and bed capacity across our system. You will direct department operations, coordinate with Bed Management and Dispatch to assign beds quickly, and ensure resources are aligned with patient acuity and census.

The role requires effective communication with site administrators, nurses, and dispatchers, delegation of bed placement priorities, and proactive escalation when census is high.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital operations or patient flow preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs department operations and advises management on improvements.
• Coordinates with Bed Management and Dispatch to optimize bed allocation.
• Delegates prioritization of bed placement and bed cleaning/transport requests.
• Fosters communication with site leaders and staff to maintain patient flow.
• Provides liaison between AHS sites and callers and escalates issues.
• Reports to the Nurse Manager for Clinical Operations.
