The position requires an Illinois RN license and a BSN or higher, with at least two years in a clinical specialty, plus CPR/BLS certification. Magnet certification within a year is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN with Illinois license and BSN or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of clinical experience in the specialty.
• Must hold Magnet-recognized certification or obtain within 1 year (preferred).
• CPR – Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates unit operations on a shift per policies and regulations.
• Coordinates shift staffing to ensure quality and cost-effective care.
• Directs patient care provided by staff nurses and support personnel on a shift.
• Leads initiatives and participates in hospital committees or task forces.
• Communicates with patients and families about nursing care.
• Implements action plans to provide safe, quality, efficient care.
• Ensures safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors.
