Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management seeks a Charge Nurse (LPN or RN) to lead nursing care in a clinical unit. Responsibilities include ensuring resident safety, planning and directing nursing functions, and maintaining high standards of patient care.

The role requires current RN or LPN licensure and the ability to follow physician orders, document assessments, and communicate effectively with the care team and families. On-site position with strong emphasis on confidentiality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current RN or LPN license.
• Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal or written instructions in English.
• Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Flexibility and positivity with intermittent interruptions.

Responsibilities

• To assure resident safety.
• Provide nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing nursing functions.
• Assign nursing tasks appropriate to staff skill levels.
• Maintain acceptable standards of patient care.
• Identify problems and guide staff to solutions.
• Promote growth and job satisfaction among personnel.
• Implement physicians' orders accurately and promptly.
• Support infection-control policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Communicate with patients, families, and health care team to achieve care plan goals.
• Document nursing history and assess patient condition.
• Record vital signs and report changes to physicians as needed.
• Develop care plans to hand off to incoming personnel.
• Use care plans to provide safe and therapeutic care.
