Job summary

LCS (Life Care Services) is seeking a Floor Nurse for Acacia Health Center in Phoenix to provide weekend nursing care in a Skilled Nursing setting. The role focuses on safe medication administration, resident comfort, and timely documentation during 6:00p-6:00a shifts on an alternating Tue/Wed/Fri schedule.

Starting pay ranges from $32 to $45 per hour, with qualifications including an approved nursing program and current Arizona LPN/RN license, CPR/First Aid with BLS/AED, and strong English

Qualifications

• Successfully completed an approved nursing program.
• Arizona LPN or RN license (current) required.
• CPR and First Aid Certification with BLS and AED training.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English; communicate effectively.
• Physically capable of lifting/carrying up to 20 lbs frequently and assisting with transfers up to 125 lbs, pushing up to 150 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications.
• Administers treatments, including dressings, catheterization, wound care, suctioning, oxygen, etc.
• Assists in direct resident care as necessary.
• Maintains accurate documentation of medication and treatment administration and care rendered.
• Accurate and thorough completion of skilled charting, change of condition, monthly charting, evaluations, and all other regulatory documentation as assigned.

Your Role:

As the Floor Nurse, this position is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation and emergency calls as indicated. Your responsibilities will include:

• Administers treatments, including, but not limited to: dressings, catheterization, wound vacs, suctioning, oxygen, etc.
• Assists in direct resident care as necessary.
• Maintains accurate documentation of medication and treatment administration and care rendered.
• Accurate and thorough completion of skilled charting, change of condition, monthly charting, evaluations, and all other regulatory documentation as assigned.

Who You Are:

• Successfully completed an approved nursing program
• Current Arizona LPN or RN license required
• Valid CPR and First Aid Certification with BLS and AED training
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic
• Able to document care given
• Physically capable of lifting/carrying up to 20 lbs frequently and assisting with resident transfers up to 125 lbs, pushing up to 150 lbs in shower chairs or wheelchairs
