Job summary

Generations Healthcare in California invites compassionate individuals to join its Nurse Assistant Trainee Program, a no-cost online/hybrid path toward CNA certification. Trainees learn nursing basics, terminology, and anatomy, and are employed as Nurse Assistant Trainees during the course.

The program blends online theory via Canvas and Zoom with on-site clinical training at Lakeside Special Care Center in San Rafael. Classes run Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• Access to a home computer with internet, video, audio, and webcam capabilities
• Completion of history and physical, TB screening, and drug screening (to be done one week before the session starts)
• LiveScan fingerprinting for criminal background clearance
• Possession of an email account (preferably Gmail)
• Proof of COVID vaccination (or approval for accommodations or waiver)

Responsibilities

• Learn basic nursing skills and medical terminology
• Prepare for the State Competency Exam for Certification
• Complete theory training online via Canvas Instructure and Zoom
• Undergo clinical training at Lakeside Special Care Center
• Attend sessions Mon-Fri 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for 25 days
