Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA preferred.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program ( titles may vary ) or may be enrolled in a nursing program with Fundamentals of Nursing completed.
• Foreign trained and licensed RN who moved to the United States and does not hold a Michigan RN license.
• Medical Assistant program with or without experience.
• At least one year of previous NA, PCT, PAT, or similar experience.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the RN, performs specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs.
• Provides input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.
• Responds to emergent situations according to established procedures.
• Recognizes and participates in own continuing education.
