Job summary

Henry Ford St. John Hospital is seeking a Nurse Assistant to join the Cardiac Intermediate Care team in Detroit.

The role supports the RN in delivering safe, compassionate patient care on a 36-hour weekly night shift schedule (7:00 PM–7:30 AM), with alternating weekends and holidays. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CNA preferred or completion of a Nurse Assistant program, and relevant experience or enrollment in a nursing program.

Qualifications

• BLS Heart Saver Certification required during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction and supervision of the responsible Registered Nurse (RN), performs specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs of the patient.
• Provides input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.
• Responds to emergent situations according to established procedures.
• Recognizes and participates in own continuing education.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Nurse Assistant program completion (or equivalent)

Experience: NA/PCT/PAT or similar (1+ year)

Enrolled in nursing program (current)

Foreign trained RN relocated to the U.S.
