The Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) is a dynamic 68-bed unit divided into six pods spanning two floors, where you'll care for some of the region's most critically ill medical patients. Here, Nurse Assistants are essential team members who directly impact patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.
Working under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN), you'll deliver compassionate patient care that prioritizes safety, comfort, and dignity. You'll be instrumental in reducing patient injury risk through attentive patient positioning and mobility support. Your contributions extend beyond daily tasks—you'll actively partner with the RN in planning and implementing individualized patient care, respond decisively to emergent situations, and embrace continuous learning opportunities. As a valued member of the Henry Ford Health System team, you'll embody our Standards of Excellence in every patient interaction and team collaboration.
