Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Macomb County is seeking a Nurse Assistant to join the Surg-Med ICU team. This full-time role offers a midnight shift schedule (6:30 pm–7:00 am) with every other weekend, providing essential patient care under the supervision of an RN.

You will perform basic nursing tasks, assist with care planning, respond to emergent situations, and participate in ongoing education. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Nurse Assistant program, and

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (e.g., Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician).
Enrollment in a nursing program may be considered.
Foreign trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license may be considered.
Medical Assistant program may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

Provide specific patient care duties under RN supervision to meet safety and comfort needs.
Assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.
Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.
Participate in continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.
