Position: Nurse Assistant I, Medical/Surgical Unit, Full-time 12 hr. Nights, Winston-Salem

Job Summary

Provides assistance to nursing staff by performing specific treatments and basic nursing care to assigned patients, following physician and nursing orders to ensure high-quality, age/developmental-specific care.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a North Carolina State Approved Nurse Aide I course required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.

Essential Functions

• Participates in the nursing process by providing direct care under RN supervision.
• Performs special procedures correctly under RN direction.
• Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Ensures effective communication of patient information.
• Communicates professionally with team, patients, and families.
• Acts responsibly towards professional growth.
• Provides age-appropriate care according to guidelines.
