Position:

Nurse Assistant I, Trauma Unit. Full-time, 12 hr. Night shifts, Winston-Salem

Job Summary:

Assists nursing staff by providing specific treatments and basic care to patients, following physician and nurse directives to ensure high standards of age/developmental care.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration:

• Completion of a North Carolina State Approved Nurse Aide I course required. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.

Essential Functions:

1. Participates in nursing process by delivering direct care under RN supervision.
2. Performs specific procedures correctly under RN guidance.
3. Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
4. Ensures accurate, timely communication of patient information.
5. Communicates effectively and professionally with team, patients, and families.
6. Assumes responsibility for professional growth and performance.
7. Provides age-appropriate care according to guidelines.
