Job summary

McLaren Health Care's Hospice-Petoskey unit is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to support patient-centered care under the supervision of a nurse. You will perform selected day-to-day care activities, maintain a safe and comfortable environment, and interact with patients considering their age, development, and cultural needs.

The role is full-time, 8:00am–4:30pm, with 80 hours every two weeks. Benefits include 403(b), dental, health, vision insurance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• CNA certification is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within first week of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN in effort to identify/attain treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Provides physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, feeding, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing or exercising.
• Ensures compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment and protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control, hazardous waste and other policies and protocols.
• Performs other related job duties as requested.

• six months of experience with a variety of patients
