Kettering Health in Miamisburg is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator/Nursing Assistant (HUC NA) to join the patient care team. The role blends HUC responsibilities with NA duties to support daily operations and patient needs on the unit.

The Health Unit Coordinator/Nursing Assistant (HUC NA) has a dual focus, a combination of the Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) and Nursing Assistant (NA) roles. They serve as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team.
The HUC NA supports patients with activities of daily living and performs patient care skills as delegated by the licensed nurse within the Ohio Board of Nursing Scope of Practice. The HUC NA also collaborates with unit leadership in coordinating the day-to-day activities of the patient care unit. This includes the processing of patient records and ongoing communication with nursing staff, physicians, and interdepartmental personnel. The HUC NA serves as a resource for physicians and other members of the health care team for the electronic medical record.
The HUC NA is responsible for maintaining and demonstrating knowledge, skill, and ability of the delegated tasks.
The HUC NA also supports department operational needs, and performs other duties as assigned.
The HUC NA reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
Successful completion of KH Health Coordinator training
Successful completion of KH Nursing Assistant Orientation
6 months experience as a nursing assistant, or STNA, or completion of NA course in the last 6 months, or a student in nursing school who has successfully completed both their Foundations/Fundamentals class and their first acute care clinical experience with supporting documentation.
