The 20-bed Family Practice Unit treats a variety of conditions, including liver diseases, asthma, pulmonary disease and gastrointestinal bleeding. The unit staff is a small, tight-knit community where nursing assistants and nurses work together to provide superior patient care.

As a Nurse Assistant, you play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and care of our patients. Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), you'll provide essential patient care, assist in care planning, and respond to emergent situations. Your contributions directly support the RN team and enhance the patient experience.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (e.g., Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician) OR current enrollment in a nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing OR foreign trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license OR Medical Assistant program with or without experience OR at least one year of previous experience in a similar role.

Preferred Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred.
