Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living including hygiene, bathing, feeding and ambulation.
• Observes patients and reports changes in condition to Registered Nurse; answers call lights and responds appropriately.
• Transports patients to and from units as directed by Registered Nurse and per transfer techniques.
• Straightens patient rooms, changes linens, and performs related tasks.
• Replenishes supply stock needed for basic patient care and orders supplies.
• Assists with admission, discharge and transfer of patients.
• Complies with safety policies to provide a safe environment for employees, patients and visitors.
• Contributes to cost effective patient care by monitoring time, equipment and supplies.
• Performs related duties as required; other duties may be assigned.
