Job summary

Kettering Health Dayton is seeking a Nurse Assistant for part-time night shifts. You will assist patients with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and maintain a safe, clean environment under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.

Candidates should have 6 months of patient care experience or Ohio STNA certification, be a nursing student or listed as pre-nursing on transcripts, and must meet BLS requirements within 90 days of hire. Prior healthcare experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Current employee with Kettering (internal transfer)

Responsibilities & Requirements

The Nurse Assistant provides essential support to nursing staff by assisting patients with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. This role contributes directly to patient comfort, safety, and quality of care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.

Must have one of the following:

• 6 months experience in patient care in a healthcare setting, or State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification in Ohio.
• Nursing student or listed as pre-nursing as shown on transcripts
• Current employee with Kettering

Required Work Experience:

• None required
• entry-level position with on-the-job training provided.

Required Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
