Willis-Knighton-Health-System is opening a brand-new Medical-Surgical unit in Shreveport, LA and seeks a nurse tech to join the team on a 12-hour day shift (0645–1915) with rotating weekends. The 25-bed unit offers a hands-on role helping build a patient-centered environment from the ground up.

Ideal candidates bring energy, compassion, and a willingness to work in acute care; prior experience preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and monitor patient status.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal care.

• Prioritize tasks and work as a self-starter in a busy med-surg unit.

We’re opening the doors to a brand-new Medical-Surgical unit at Willis Knighton Bossier, and we’re looking for passionate nurse tech ready to help build something special from the ground up! We are looking for an energetic, caring, and hard-working individual for our 25-bed med-surg unit.This is a 12-hour, 0645–1915-day shift position with a rotating pattern, off every other weekend. Job duties include, but are not limited to taking vital signs, assisting patients with personal care, turning & repositioning, transporting, and answering call lights. You must be able to prioritize job assignments and be a self-starter when you are working in this unit. This position is not the same as a medical assistant. An applicant with a prior history of working in an acute care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
