Willis-Knighton-Health-System is opening a brand-new Medical-Surgical unit in Shreveport, LA and seeks a nurse tech to join the team on a 12-hour day shift (0645–1915) with rotating weekends. The 25-bed unit offers a hands-on role helping build a patient-centered environment from the ground up.

Ideal candidates bring energy, compassion, and a willingness to work in acute care; prior experience preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Prior acute care experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work 12-hour day shift with rotating weekends.
• Ability to take vital signs and assist patients with personal care.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and monitor patient status.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Turn and reposition patients to prevent bedsores.
• Transport patients and respond to call lights in a timely manner.
• Prioritize tasks and work as a self-starter in a busy med-surg unit.
