Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking a Nurse Apprentice to support direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse preceptor. You will communicate with the RN preceptor about changes in patient condition and diagnostic results.

Responsibilities include bedside reporting, comprehensive head-to-toe assessments across diverse patient populations, and collaborating to formulate and revise the patient care plan daily under supervision.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing.
• Has completed the fundamentals course in nursing school.
• Nevada CNA License required.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN preceptor supervision.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to RN preceptor.
• Perform bedside report using IMAP & SBAR in partnership with patient.
• Assist with head-to-toe assessments and patient care plan updates.

We are looking for a dynamic Nurse Apprentice to help provide amazing direct and indirect patient care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse preceptor.You will communicate with RN preceptor, as appropriate, about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Demonstrates supportive behaviors necessary for performing bedside report using IMAP & SBAR (both accomplished in partnership with patient inside room)
• Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes: pediatric, geriatric and the general patient population.
• In coordination with RN preceptor, is able to formulate a patient care plan.
• Ability to revise plan of care as indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness under the supervision of the RN preceptor.
