Job summary

Sierra Medical Center in Nevada is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to provide safe, competent nursing care in line with facility policies and philosophy. You will support the healthcare team with leadership and patient-centered care focused on service excellence.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering care, coordinating interdisciplinary plans, and performing thorough rounds to enhance safety, communication and patient comfort. Nevada licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program.
  • Current Nevada nursing license.
  • BLS certificate. NRP within 6 mo. of hire.

  • Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
  • Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill. Integrates direct and indirect patient care activities related to the diagnosis and co-morbidities.
  • Coordinates the implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients. Develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs.
  • Consistently completes hourly rounds to strengthen nurse communication, improve safety, and anticipate patient needs.

Job summary

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Consistently completes hourly rounds with purpose to strengthen nurse communication, improve safety, and anticipate patient needs (i.e. pain, re-positioning, toileting). Rounds with purpose including pro-actively evaluating the environment to ensure it is patient friendly and patient safe.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
  • Current Nevada nursing license.

  • Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
  • STABLE (or obtained within six months of employment).
  • Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility
