Position Title: Nurse Apprentice - Earn While You Learn! (Marymount Students only)

Job Description:

The Nurse Apprentice (NA) works under the direct supervision of the RN and is an active member of the healthcare team. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the NA performs routine duties involving patient care, such as direct patient care or activities of daily living, observing patient status changes, maintaining a clean and safe environment, transporting patients, and other related duties. The Nurse Apprentice must be empathetic, possess good communication and nursing skills, and be able to communicate effectively through written, auditory, or visual means. The primary mode of communication is spoken word, with additional skills in writing, telephone, and manual dexterity required.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed Fundamentals of Nurse Coursework
• Completed clinical rotation
• BLS Certification
• Current Marymount University Nursing Student

Physical Requirements:

The role involves physical activities such as exerting force (lifting objects or patients), bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, standing, walking, pushing/pulling, and repetitive motions. Working Conditions:

Work occurs in well-lit, ventilated clinical settings with potential for frequent interruptions and long hours, including shifts beyond normal hours.
